PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain impact by a stool seat and a stool cover at manually closing time by closing the stool seat and the stool cover by a closing sequence from a prescribed angle when an angle detector detects that the stool seat and the stool cover rotate in the closing direction when the stool seat and the stool cover are not driven by a motor. SOLUTION: A motor 11 is rotated by a signal from the control part 10, and when the rotation is transmitted to a stool seat (and/or a stool cover) 14 through a transmitting means 12, the stool seat 14 rotates in the opening direction or the closing direction. In a standby state, the control part 10 drives/ closes the stool seat 14 by a closing sequence from a prescribed angle when the stool seat 14 rotates in the closing direction by a signal from an angle detecting means 13. However, when the stool seat 14 is forcibly closed, impact force is applied to the transmitting means 12 and the hinge part of the stool seat 14. Thus, a speed is calculated by the control part 10 on the basis of a signal of the angle detecting means 13 to drive the stool seat 14 by the closing sequence corresponding to the speed to be closed so as not to apply impact.
