PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining structure of a column and a beam capable of widely securing an opening part and capable of maintaining joining strength even when wood becomes thin. SOLUTION: In a joining structure of a column and a beam, a beam 2 is installed on a column 1, a pair of joining metal fittings 6, 6 bent into an L shape are symmetrically applied to an upper side corner part and a lower side corner part for crossing the column 1 and the beam 2, at least a part of one piece 19 of the respective joining metal fittings 6 is fitted in a first locking hole 24 of the column 1, and at least a part of the other piece 20 is fitted in a second locking hole 26 of the beam 2. The respective pieces 19, 20 are fixed to the column 1 or the beam 2 by a fastening means 7.
