<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a fuel cell with enhancement of durability aimed at and a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the fuel cell includes a process (namely, a coating process) for coating an electrolyte solution 60 containing a resin component contained in an electrolyte membrane 10 on a sealing member 16 of a seal-integrated membrane electrode assembly 40 in which the sealing member 16 is integrally formed, around a peripheral part of the membrane electrode assembly in which a fuel electrode made of a catalyst layer 12a on the one face of the electrolyte membrane 10 and an air electrode made of a catalyst layer 12b on the other face are arranged respectively, and a process (namely, a jointing process) for jointing the sealing member 16 of the seal-integrated membrane electrode assembly 40 and a gas diffusion member in a state before the electrolyte solution 60 is dried or while the solvent contained in the electrolyte solution 60 exists in an interface between the sealing member 16 of the seal-integrated membrane electrode assembly 40 and the porous gas diffusion member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
