PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bisaminophenol compound convertible into a low dielectric constant resin. SOLUTION: An achievement is accomplished with the bisaminophenol compound having a biphenyl structure and a group composed of an adamantane structure on a carbocyclic ring composing the biphenyl structure. The bisaminophenol compound has a structure represented by general formula (1) (wherein, R represents a substituent containing the adamantane structure; and a hydroxy group and an amino group are located in adjacent sites on each carbocyclic ring).
