PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking device enhanced in the operability of the operation body and improved in convenience. SOLUTION: This locking device 11 comprises an operation body 13 positioned at the baseboard part 10 of an opening/closing body 8 and selectively changeable between a locked state and an unlocked state. The locking device 11 further comprises an engagement means 14 restraining the movement of the opening/closing body 8 in the opening direction by the engagement with an engagement receiving part 5 when the operation body 13 is in the locked state and allows the movement of the opening/closing body in the opening direction without engaging with the engagement receiving part 5 when the operation body 13 is in the unlocked state.
