<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing yarn having excellent adhesiveness and sufficient heat resistance and durability, and to provide a rubber hose having excellent heat resistance and durability. <P>SOLUTION: The reinforcing yarn for a heat-resistant hose is used for reinforcing the heat-resistant hose. The reinforcing yarn is composed of a yarn which is united by stretch breaking a filament bundle composed of a meta-based aromatic polyamide and interlacing the stretch broken fibers. The average fiber length of the stretch broken fibers is 20-50 cm and the strength of the reinforcing yarn is≥4 cN/dtex. Furthermore, 1.0-5.0 wt.% of a water-soluble polyester is applied to the surface of the reinforcing yarn.
