PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a lightweight lava plate by which resource recycling of waste is achieved. SOLUTION: The lightweight lava plate material comprises chipped lava and cement and is applied as a material of a lightweight structure for a sound absorbing body, a quake resistant material or an insulating material by changing hydrolysis ratio, the quantity of a foaming agent to be added, the quantity of a coloring agent to be added, the particle diameter of the chipped lava or the like to control the density, the porosity or a water absorption of the lightweight. Or by selecting a closed cell type or open cell type porous structure characteristic, advantages of excellent lightweight, sound absorption or thermal insulation are attained.
