<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of reducing noise caused by an exhaust fan. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The exhaust fan 6 sucks high temperature air from a light source device 21 and discharges it. Using the flow of the high temperature air from the light source device 21 by the exhaust fan 6, high temperature air from a power supply device 5 is introduced and discharged to the outside of the projector from an exhaust port with the high temperature air from the light source device 21. In this way, the exhaust fan 6 only sucks the high temperature air from the light source device 21 and need not suck the high temperature air from the power supply device 5, so that the exhaust fan 6 can be driven at a low drive voltage, and noise by the exhaust fan 6 can be reduced.
