PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine capable of optimizing total fuel consumption in consideration of use amounts of fuel and urea water desired by an operator.SOLUTION: A controller 40, when a target value Qa of at least one of a light oil use amount Qf and a urea water use amount Qu is input, refers to a total fuel consumption map M1 to set, on a pre-selected discharge amount maintaining line L0, a control point P separated from a peak P0 at which total fuel consumption Ct of the discharge amount maintaining line L0 becomes minimum on the basis of the target value Qa, and performs control to adjust injection amounts of a fuel injection valve 14 and a urea water injection valve 33 on the basis of the control point Pa.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
