PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting data creation method, a cutting data creation device, and a computer readable recording medium with which it is possible to easily fabricate a desired ornament expressing a general pattern consisting of a combination of partial patterns by laying a plurality of sheets as materials to be cut one on top of another.SOLUTION: A cutting data creation device 1 comprises determination means, order deciding means, contour setting means, and cutting data creation means. The determination means determines, for each of partial patterns, whether some partial pattern among the plurality of partial patterns is included in other partial patterns. The order deciding means decides, on the basis of a determination result pertaining to the inclusion of the partial patterns, an order in which the plurality of partial patterns are laid one on top of another that corresponds to an order in which a plurality of sheets are laid one on top of another. The contour setting means sets the contour of the partial pattern to a plurality of layers for each layer that corresponds to the order. The cutting data creation means creates cutting data on the basis of the contour of the partial pattern that is set for each layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
