PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable valve mechanism capable of adjusting a lift amount of an intake valve and an exhaust valve in a stepless manner by a more simple constitution than that of the prior art.SOLUTION: A variable valve mechanism of this invention comprises a valve member [51] reciprocated between a closed position and an open position; a rocker arm [11] where an oscillation region [13] is contacted with the valve member to cause the valve member to reciprocate; an oscillating member [45] having a rocker arm contact part [R] contacted with the rocker arm and a cam contact part [C] contacted with a cam [25]; and a lift amount adjustment member [34] where it is contacted with the oscillating member while a contact point [L] constitutes a center of oscillation of the oscillating member. The lift amount adjustment member changes a position of the center of oscillation acting as the contact point with the oscillating member and changes an amount of oscillation of the rocker arm contact part and an amount of oscillation of the oscillation region to adjust the lift amount of the valve member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
