An aspect of the present invention discloses a rechargeable battery which enables costs required for manufacture of an electrode terminal to be reduced and also enables productivity to be improved. According to an embodiment of the present invention, provided is a rechargeable battery comprising: an electrode assembly which includes a first electrode and a second electrode on both surfaces of a separator; a case which contains the electrode assembly therein; a cap plate which seals an opening of the case, and is electrically connected to the second electrode; a first electrode terminal which is electrically connected to the first electrode, and is provided outside the cap plate via a terminal hole; and a second electrode terminal which is directly connected to an outside surface of the cap plate; wherein the second electrode terminal comprises a spaced portion spaced apart from the cap plate and a support portion connected to the spaced portion and supported on the cap plate, and a fastening portion formed on the support portion is combined with a corresponding portion formed on the cap plate. |
