PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle external air bag that reliably absorbs collision energy of a protection object person.SOLUTION: The vehicle external air bag includes an air bag body 4 that is deployed so as to extend upward along a front pillar P from a lower end Pa side of the front pillar P on a front side of the front pillar P provided along a side edge part of a windshield W of a vehicle M; and an energizing part 5 for energizing the vicinity of tip part of the air bag body 4 downward so that the tip part of the air bag body 4 deployed upward along the front pillar P retreats backward along the front pillar P to form a clearance S between an intermediate part of the air bag body 4 and the front pillar P.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
