PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device and a power supply method that can activate a driving semiconductor device having a different driving voltage, without having a complicated circuit structure.SOLUTION: A controlling semiconductor device 10 includes: a terminal T1 connected to a power source 1 outputting a voltage equal to or larger than an operable voltage Vin a time varying according to external environments; a regulator 4 receiving electric power from the terminal T1; a terminal T4 supplying electric power to a driving semiconductor device 20; a switch SW1 controlling connection between the regulator 4 and the terminal T4; and diodes D1, D2 receiving electric power from the terminal T1 and supplying a voltage to the terminal T4, the switch SW1 being turned off when the voltage of the electric power supplied from the terminal T1 is lower than the operable voltage V.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
