摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video source unit that can improve the efficiency of use of light from a light source despite of inclusion of a layer having light absorption parts.SOLUTION: A video source unit includes a lower polarizing plate 14, an upper polarizing plate 13, a liquid crystal panel 15 that includes a liquid crystal layer 12 arranged between the lower polarizing plate and upper polarizing plate, and an optical sheet 30 that is arranged on the lower polarizing plate side with respect to the liquid crystal panel. The optical sheet includes a substrate layer 31 and an optical functional layer 32, and the optical functional layer includes: light transmission parts 33 extending in one direction along a surface of the substrate layer with a predetermined cross section and arranged in plurality in a direction different from the direction of extension at predetermined intervals, and interval parts 34 formed in the intervals of the plurality of light transmission parts. An angle formed by the direction where a transmission axis of the lower polarizing plate extends and the direction where the light transmission parts extend is 0° or more and 41.7° or less in the front view of the liquid crystal panel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
