This elevator safety system is equipped with: a plurality of communication controllers (1a, 1b, 1c) that communicate with signals, including a safety control signal, through a network; and a control device (7) that is connected to a first communication controller (1a), which is one of the plurality of communication controllers (1a, 1b, 1c), and executes the operation control of an elevator. Each of the plurality of communication controllers (1a, 1b, 1c) has an error rate measuring instrument which measures the error rate of the network on the basis of a bit error in the data received through the network. The control device (7) executes operation control by switching between the operating states of the elevator according to the error rate measured by the error rate measuring instrument of the first communication controller (1a). |
