摘要 The purpose of the present invention is to provide a technique that makes it possible to stably obtain an image that captures the form of a cell, in which the distribution of regions that show specific parts of the cell is accurately indicated. In order to achieve this purpose, an obtaining unit obtains a tentative cell distribution image in which: the distribution of estimated cell regions is shown using a plurality of cell display elements, the estimated cell regions being such that specific parts of a cell are estimated to be captured in a cell form image that captures the form of a cell; and one or more cell display elements from among the plurality of cell display elements are drawn in accordance with an operation performed by a user. An arithmetic unit obtains, for each of the one or more cell display elements, an appearance feature and a feature value relating to the appearance feature in one or more corresponding estimated cell regions in the cell form image. A correction unit corrects the tentative cell distribution image and generates a cell distribution image by eliminating from the tentative cell distribution image or setting to an unused state the cell display elements, from among the one or more cell display elements, for which the feature value is at least either outside a range of permitted values or within a range of prohibited values.
