<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for position-adjusting a sheet moved in a treatment direction along a conveying route in a medium handling assembly. <P>SOLUTION: The device includes a sheet position-adjustment nip assembly (2) and a controller (30) for changing characteristic feature of the sheet relative to the conveying route. The controller (30) feeds a first signal for giving target characteristic feature to the sheet to the sheet position-adjustment nip assembly until the sheet reaches to preliminary position-adjustment reference arranged along the conveying route between the sheet position-adjustment nip assembly and delivery position-adjustment reference arranged in the downstream. Further, the controller (30) changes second sheet characteristic feature to the target characteristic feature by feeding a second signal to the sheet position-adjustment nip assembly when at least a part of the sheet is arranged between the preliminary position-adjustment reference and the delivery position-adjustment reference along the conveying route. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
