IMAGE SENSING/STORING METHOD AND IMAGE SENSING DEVICE

An image sensing device which records an image as digital signals, produces a good picture shot at a perfect moment, and further produces continuous pictures representing a motion of the object during a short time. The intraframe encoding of the signals of a reference image frame generated on depressing a shutter button is performed and the interframe encoding of the signals of image frames before and after the reference image frame in terms of time is performed by utilizing the correlation between the image frames and the reference image frame or the correlation between the image frames and an image frame predicted from the reference image frame. The encoded signals are recorded in a storing means as instantaneous dynamic images. This constitution enables (1) the movement and the change of the facial expression to be recorded, (2) the parts desired to be recorded to be reliably imaged, and (3) the compression efficiency to be improved and a high quality image to be produced.
