BASE COMPOSITION FOR LIQUID SILICONE RUBBER AND METHOD FOR REDUCING ITS VISCOSITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a base composition for a liquid silicone rubber where viscosity is lowered, fluidity increases and is useful for the electric industry and the automobile one by including a specific quantity of specific tourmaline powder. SOLUTION: This liquid silicone rubber base composition includes (A) an alkenyl group-including diorganopolysiloxane which is liquid at room temperature, (B) crystalline silica powder and (C) tourmaline powder having 1-100μm average particle diameter in a weight content of 0.1-20 wt.% based on the total weight of the composition. Or this liquid silicone rubber base composition includes (D) diorganopolysiloxane which is liquid at room temperature and in which silanol groups at both ends are blocked, (E) ground granulated silica made to be hydrophobic and reinforceable and (C) tourmaline powder having 1-100μm average particle diameter in a weight content of 0.1-20 wt.% based on the total weight of the composition.
