PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vinyl chloride-based resin polymer giving extrusion-molded products excellent in fracture toughness. SOLUTION: This polymer is obtained by suspension polymerization of vinyl chloride monomer or a mixture of monomer polymerizable with vinyl chloride monomer and vinyl chloride monomer in an aqueous solvent using one or more kinds of dispersant including 0.01-0.3 wt.% hydroxypropoxymethylcellulose.
