DRUM COOLING DEVICE OF MAGNETIC BRAKE, FOR PREVENTING CRACKS CAUSED BY OVERHEATING OF BRAKE DRUM, AND ACCIDENTS

PURPOSE: A drum cooling device of a magnetic brake is provided to prevent cracks from being generated on the surface of a brake drum by abnormally overheating the surface of the brake drum and to restrict the reduction of braking performance caused by fusing with a brake shoe. CONSTITUTION: A drum cooling device of a magnetic brake comprises a temperature sensor unit(10) and a brake cooling unit(20). The temperature sensor unit is composed of a sensor guide(11) mounted on a supporting base of a brake system to put on an outer peripheral surface of a brake drum(1) by rollers(13) and a temperature sensor(12) installed at the sensor guide. The brake cooling unit comprises an injection port(21) disposed at a brake shoe(2) to position at the side of the brake drum and formed with a plurality of injection holes(21a) for the brake drum; a reflective plate(22) installed at the brake shoe to position at the other side of the brake drum and to face the injection holes; and a blowing unit connected to the injection port to supply cold air.
