The gas tap comprises a valve body (1) with an internal fluid passage (10) extending from an inlet port (8) to an outlet port. A fastening base (12) coaxially supporting the inlet port has a threaded outer periphery. A manometer is connected to the internal passage. A member (11) is located between the manometer and the base and a lever (2) pivots around an axis (YY) perpendicular to the body axis (XX) and engages a valve (33) acting on the internal passage so that fluid can circulate or be prevented from circulating from the inlet to the outlet ports. An Independent claim is included for a gas container fitted with a gas tap.
