摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium-containing composite oxide excellent in a charge/discharge cycle property and a high-temperature storage property and usable for manufacturing a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: Lithium-containing composite oxide powder is put into a predetermined device and heating air is supplied for holding a temperature of the powder at 35&deg;C or more and forming a powder fluidized bed at the same time. A zirconia sol water solution is added to the lithium-containing composite oxide powder forming the fluidized bed, and a zirconia coating layer of 1.5-8.5 mass% to total mass of the lithium-containing composite oxide powder is formed.
