PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breaker piece and a throw away tip which are excellent in chip disposal property and forming easiness property. SOLUTION: In the cutting tool, the breaker piece 10 having at least one chip breaker 13 is fixed to the surface of the rake face 5 of the cutting blade part 4 provided on a tool body 20 and a breaker wall face 13a contacting at least cutting chips of the chip breaker 13 is made of an ultra high-pressure sintered compact 15.
