PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscopic system capable of immediately detecting and announcing miscommunication on luminance information between a video-processor and a light source device. SOLUTION: The endoscopic system comprises the light source device 13 to manually and automatically control an illuminating light for illuminating an object, and an electronic imaging device 16 to image the object. A luminance data signal is generated from an object signal electronically imaged by the electronic imaging device 16, and light volume of the light source device 13 is controlled based on the video-processor 12 to offset the luminance data signal and the luminance data signal offset by the video-processor 12.
