A closure device for air-tightly sealing an opening in a wall is provided to obtain a construction simpler than that of a conventional closure device. A closure device for air-tightly sealing an opening in a wall includes a closure plate(11), a support unit, and a base unit(1). The support unit supports the closure plate and has at least one vertical piston-cylinder unit. The base unit supports the support unit and has at least one transverse piston-cylinder unit(2). A closed cylinder space of the vertical piston-cylinder unit is connected to the transverse piston-cylinder unit or a closed cylinder space(14) of at least one of the transverse piston-cylinder units via a closed compression gas channel(25). An opened cylinder space of the vertical piston-cylinder unit is connected to the transverse piston-cylinder unit or an opened cylinder space(17) of at least one of the transverse piston-cylinder units via an opened compression gas channel(24).
