An air compressor is provided to transmit driving power of a driving shaft continuously to a moving shaft to drive a fuel pump or a power steering pump normally when an inner pressure of an air tank becomes higher than a set pressure. A driving shaft(30) axially combined with a driving gear(31) engaged with a timing gear of an engine is installed at a front end exposed to a front, passing through a front of a crank case(10). A pump chamber(20) is installed at the crank case orthogonally to the crank chamber. A fuel pump or a power steering pump(40) is attached to a back side of a cover(10a) installed at an open rear end of the crank case, wherein a front end of a moving shaft introduced into the crank chamber is directly connected to a rear end of the driving shaft. A crank shaft pipe is axially combined with a part contained in the crank chamber of the driving shaft except a rear end part, and has an eccentric part(51) axially combined with a connecting rod(22) of a pump piston(21) at an outer peripheral surface corresponding to the pump chamber. A clutch(60) is installed between the rear end of the driving shaft and a rear end of the crank shaft pipe for transmitting driving power of the driving shaft to the crank shaft pipe or interrupt transmission of driving power. An air cylinder(70) is operated to stop driving power connection of the clutch when a signal pressure is inputted through an injection port.
