LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND CONTROL METHDO OF THE SAME

An LCD and a control method thereof are provided to generate different grayscale voltages corresponding to temperature of liquid crystals and transmittance according to the temperature. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) includes a liquid crystal panel(100), a temperature sensor(10), a grayscale voltage generating unit(50) and a control unit(20). The temperature sensor senses temperature of the liquid crystal panel. The grayscale voltage generating unit has plural grayscale voltage generating units(U1~UN) for forming a grayscale voltage set corresponding to a preset temperature. The control unit generates and outputs the grayscale voltage set corresponding to the sensed temperature by using the grayscale voltage set when the temperature sensed from the temperature sensor does not match a preset temperature.
