<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direction detecting device capable of reducing the effect of a multipath and realizing an appropriate direction detection. <P>SOLUTION: The direction detection device includes: a plurality of sets of array antennas 16 each formed by a plurality of antenna elements 26 for transmitting a radio signal to a radio tag 14 and/or receiving a radio signal from the radio tag; and a direction detection unit 60 for detecting a direction of the radio tag 14 by comparing the reception signals received as a result of the transmission and/or the reception by each of the plurality of sets of the array antennas 16. Thus, by using a reception result by the array antennas 16 scarcely affected by the multipath comparing reception signals corresponding to each of the array antennas 16, it is possible to appropriately detect a direction of the radio tag 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
