The damping unit has two rail pieces (46, 48) and two conductor pieces (50, 52), which are switched in an electrically parallel manner. The rail pieces are arranged in parallel such that the rail pieces are spatially distant from each other. The conductor pieces are composed of electrically sound conductive material e.g. copper, and the rail pieces are composed of electrically sound non conductive material e.g. stainless steel. Strip conductors are provided as the conductor pieces. The conductor pieces have connecting pieces (54-60) at their ends.
