<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointer-type meter having a pointer to which an illumination light is supplied, and to provide a display device having uniform luminance. <P>SOLUTION: This pointer type meter 1 includes the display device 2, a character plate 3 having an indicating section 3a disposed around the display device 2, the pointer 4 for pointing the indicating section 3a, and a drive device 5 which is provided to the rear side of the display device 2 and is adapted to rotate the pointer 4. The display device 2 has a case body 6 for housing at least a part of a display element 7 and an illumination device 8. The case body 6 has a window section 6d that exposes the display element 7. An irradiating section 6e, for irradiating the pointer 4 with a light of the illumination device 8, is provided to the side face or the rear face of the case body 6, other than a part that corresponds to the window section 6d of the case body 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
