PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vending machine reducing energy consumption for cooling of commodities, by efficiently cooling the commodities. SOLUTION: The vending machine includes: an evaporator (6) for cooling internal air of a commodity storage chamber; and an inner fan F for circulating the cooled air in the commodity storage chamber, and is also provided with: a lower thermistor 26 and an upper thermistor 27 for detecting a temperature near commodities stored in a commodity storage rack in the bottom and top positions; and a control means for increasing a cooling amount by the evaporator when the detected temperature by the lower thermistor 26 exceeds an upper limit value in a first reference temperature range while reducing the cooling amount by the evaporator when the detected temperature is lower than a lower limit value in the range, and circulating air in the whole chamber by the inner fan F when the detected temperature by the upper thermistor 27 exceeds an upper limit value in a second reference temperature range while circulating air in the lower part of the chamber by the inner fan F when the detected temperature is less than a lower limit value in the range.
