Tape servo track write compensation

Recording a servo write head spacing for writing servo tracks on a magnetic tape in a manufacturing environment. One or more environmental condition measurements of the manufacturing environment are received by a computer. A pair of servo tracks is written on a magnetic tape by a pair of servo write heads at a nominal spacing. The one or more environmental condition measurements of the manufacturing environment and information pertaining to the spacing of the servo tracks on the magnetic tape are recorded in one or more data stores.

one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media and program instructions stored on the one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media, the program instructions comprising: program instructions to receive, by one or more processors, one or more environmental condition measurements of the manufacturing environment; program instructions to write a pair of servo tracks on a magnetic tape by a pair of servo write heads at a nominal spacing; and program instructions to record in one or more data stores the one or more environmental condition measurements of the manufacturing environment, and information pertaining to the spacing of the servo tracks on the magnetic tape.
