Disclosed are a traffic switching method and device. The method comprises: a first network device sending a first message to a second network device via a first network tunnel, sending a second message to the second network device via a second network tunnel, acquiring a third message returned by the second network device according to the first message, acquiring a fourth message returned by the second network device according to the second message, and determining a network delay between the first network tunnel and the second network tunnel according to first time, second time, third time and fourth time; and judging whether the network delay meets a first switching condition, and when a judgement result meets the condition, switching first forwarding traffic in the second network tunnel to the first network tunnel to be forwarded. It can be seen that when the network delay is overly great, there is only one network tunnel for forwarding traffic, the second network device is no longer affected by the network delay, and the probability that messages cannot be reassembled is reduced. |
