Disclosed is a method for downloading streaming media data. The method for downloading streaming media data comprises the following steps: A. acquiring a downloading bit rate of streaming media data and a corresponding downloading link; B. when downloading of streaming media data in a current preset time segment arrives, determining whether a history downloading speed exits; if yes, performing step C, otherwise, performing step D; C. determining a downloading bit rate in the current preset time segment according to the history downloading speed, and going to perform step E; D. determining a downloading bit rate in the current preset time segment according to the acquired downloading bit rate of the streaming media data, and going to perform step E; and E. loading the corresponding downloading link according to the determined downloading bit rate and downloading the streaming media data in the current preset time segment. Also disclosed is an apparatus for downloading streaming media data. The method and the apparatus improve the frame playing effect. |
