A microencapsulated platinum metal catalyst and a preparation method therefor, the raw material composition of the catalyst comprising the following components by mass fraction: a liquid platinum metal catalyst, a low softening point thermoplastic resin, polyvinyl alcohol, deionised water, and a petroleum ether. The softening point of the low softening point thermoplastic resin is 60-80 degrees, and the low softening point thermoplastic resin may be dissolved in the petroleum ether. Microcapsule wall material of the microencapsulated platinum metal catalyst has a low softening point and good toughness, the microencapsulated platinum metal catalyst has no catalytic activity at room temperature and rapid catalytic activity when the temperature rises above 80 degrees, and the microencapsulated platinum metal catalyst can be used for the preparation of a low temperature forming single-component addition-type liquid silicone rubber. |
