PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle refrigeration device that enables two stages or more of speed control, eliminates the necessity of dedicated pole number switching electric motor and pole number switching circuit and does not inhibit a nap in an operation in a standby mode.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle refrigeration device for cooling the interior by operating a refrigerating cycle by using an electric compressor 1 during traveling includes an inverter 6, a flow straightener 2, air blowers 12, 14, a control device 15 and a control panel 30. The control device 15 includes rotational frequency restriction means for restricting maximum rotational frequency of the electric compressor 1. The control device 15 includes: a normal operation mode; and a silent operation mode of operating the electric compressor 1 at lower rotational frequency than that of the normal operation mode. The rotational frequency restriction means comprising Steps S43, S63 restricts the maximum rotational frequency of the electric compressor 1 in the normal operation mode during traveling of a freezer car when the silent operation mode is ordered.
