PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable further thinning of an LED backlight and an LED display device using the same by reducing an optical distance (OD) while maintaining necessary and sufficient optical characteristics.SOLUTION: An LED backlight 10 includes a substrate 1 for an LED element having a flexible substrate film 11, and a metal wiring part 13 formed of metal whose heat conductivity is 200 W/(mxK) or more on the substrate film 11, a plurality of LED elements 2 arranged in a matrix state on the substrate 1 for an LED element in such a manner that it becomes conductive by the metal wiring part 13, and a diffuser panel 3 having a light diffusion effect. Arrangement density of the LED elements 2 on the substrate 1 for an LED element is 0.02 pieces/cmor more, and an optical distance (OD) between the LED elements 2 and the diffuser panel 3 is 18 mm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
