PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image processor capable of more suitably simulating an illumination in a medical image such as an ultrasonic image of a body cavity than in the conventional practice.SOLUTION: The medical image processor has image processing means. The image processing means sets a virtual light source which is present outside an area of interest of a subject in volume data acquired by imaging the area of interest, a first area which is present between the area of interest and the virtual light source and a second area including at least partially the area of interest which is positioned farther from the virtual light source than the first area, performs a first lighting simulation for the first area by using the virtual light source and the volume data and performs a second lighting simulation which is different from the first lighting simulation for the second area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
