PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure effective irradiation of microwaves for a microwave excitation electrodeless lamp (MDEL), while suppressing generation of active oxygen on the outside of the MDEL, and to treat an aqueous solution such as the waste fluid effectively.SOLUTION: A microwave excitation electrodeless lamp includes microwave generation means 1, a MDEL2, and aeration means 3 for aerating an aqueous solution of treatment object with a gas containing active oxygen generated in the MDEL2. The MDEL2 includes a luminous tube 20 internally enclosing a discharge gas emitting ultraviolet light by irradiation with microwaves, and a mantle tube 21 covering the luminous tube 20, and forming a mantle channel around the luminous tube 20. The mantle tube 21 has a gas inflow port 21a for introducing a gas containing oxygen molecules (O) to the mantle channel, and a gas outflow port 21b for introducing a gas containing active oxygen generated from the oxygen molecules (O) by irradiation with ultraviolet light in the mantle channel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
