PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition capable of providing a multilayer structure which is excellent in gas barrier properties after hot water treatment, and hardly causes poor appearance even when left in high temperature and high humidity.SOLUTION: An hydrate-forming alkaline earth metal salt having a predetermined water absorption property is contained in a thermoplastic resin. A layer of such a resin composition is formed into a multilayer structure combined with a resin layer (hygroscopic layer) in which properties such as gas barrier properties are lowered by moisture absorption, which suppresses deterioration in properties by moisture absorption of the multilayer structure without affecting the appearance of the multilayer structure.SELECTED DRAWING: None
