PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a pneumatic tire having a convex pattern with excellent durability.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a pneumatic tire 1 having at least part of a raised surface 14 along a side wall virtual contour surface 10 of a convex pattern 12, which is made of non-black rubber 15, includes: a green tire molding step of molding a green tire 1G by arranging a non-black rubber layer 22 and a cover rubber layer 18 at a side wall part 3; a vulcanization molding step of forming an initial convex pattern 12, in which the raised surface 14 is covered with a black rubber 16, on an outer surface of the side wall part 3; and a removing step of removing the cover rubber layer 18 on the raised surface 14 of the initial convex pattern 12 so as to cause the non-black rubber 15 to appear. In the green tire molding step, the non-black rubber layer 22 is formed by being wound with a non-black rubber strip 29. In a meridian cross section including a tire rotating shaft, at least the non-black rubber strip 29 wound around outermost inclines at angles of 3-15° relative to the side wall virtual contour surface 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
