OPTICAL DEVICE, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device capable of suppressing tottering while minimizing a reduction in throughput, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.

SOLUTION: A light emitting element 20 and a light receiving element 30 are mounted on an upper surface of a support substrate 11 of a stem 10 and the light emitting element 20 and the light receiving element 30 are sealed with a cap 40. A nozzle head part 53 of a lens receptacle 50 for optically coupling the light emitting element 20 with an optical fiber (not shown) is fitted on the cap 40. A high light transmittance light transmission structure 53A is formed on a part of the nozzle head part 53.
