A control circuit according to one embodiment of the present disclosure controls an active matrix drive by a field inversion drive scheme so that when a signal waveform outputted from the control circuit is observed with a display resolution of 200 μs or a display resolution lower than 200 μs, the vertical effective display period in a one-field period that is prescribed by a vertical start signal is near the start time of the one-field period.
