The coupling front surface (5) of the branched optical waveguide faces the continuous waveguide, and at least one reflecting surface area (18) causing a light transfer between the continuous and the branched waveguide. An elevation (8) is provided on the substrate, which penetrates at least partially in the light-guiding core of the continuous optical waveguide, and which comprises at least one surface area (9) lying in a cross-section (16) of the core, which forms the reflecting surface area.
