PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly separate polluted water, slurry, etc., into solid contents and clarified liquids by connecting a tubular body disposed spirally to the bottom of a collecting appliance to collect a mixed liquid of a concentrate solution to be treated and a flocculating agent. SOLUTION: This septic device for sewage such as various kinds of household wastewater and human waste is provided with a primary agitation tank for mixing and agitating the concentrate solution fed from a concentrate solution tank and the flocculating agent to be added and a flocculating device 15 for separating the mixed liquid 35 of the concentrate solution and the flocculating agent into the solid content 13 and the clarified liquid 14. The flocculating device 15 is provided with a primary settling tank 27 and the collecting appliance 24. The tubular body 25 disposed spirally is connected to the bottom of the appliance 24 to discharge the solid content 13 and the clarified liquid 14 generated in the body 25 from a discharge port 26. Accordingly the contact frequency of solid particles with the flocculating agent is increased and the formation of micro-flocks is promoted. Large size of flocks are formed in a comparatively short time because these micro-flocks function as their seeds, so that the solid content 13 can be rapidly separated from the clarified liquid 14.
