PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water level detection equipment which controls a crevice pipe 8 to drain scum, certainly operates and is easy to clean. SOLUTION: Gear type transmission system is composed by fixing a water level sensor 11 to a pinion shaft 16 by meshing a sector gear 13 with a pinion 14 supported by a fixed shaft 15 by firmly fixing the sector gear 13 to a flange portion 9 united with the crevice pipe 8 where scum is flownin in A1 direction. The flange portion 9 has a control equipment and moves a position of a crevice 8a up and down by revolving the crevice pipe 8. As indicated by an imaginary line, in case the crevice 8a for the crevice pipe 8 is at upper portion of inflow prevention position, the water level sensor 11 also is at upper portion. When the crevice pipe 8 moves to a solid line position by revolving in B direction, scum flows into the crevice pipe 8 through the crevice 8a moved to a lower portion, a contact piece 12 is directed downward, and its edge goes to L2 lower than water level L1. When the water level goes low to L2 by scum flowing, the crevice pipe 8 and the sensor 11 return to the position of the imaginary line.
