PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester of high quality which reduces the amount of fine foreign substances in a polyester resin composition, excels in heat stability, and has excellent surface properties, slipping properties, and productivity in a film using the composition, and can build up various applications. SOLUTION: The polyester resin composition contains 0.5-50 ppm titanium compound in terms of a titanium atom based on a polyester, 0.1-50 ppm phosphorus compound in terms of a phosphorus atom based on the polyester, and no antimony compound or≤30 ppm antimony compound in terms of an antimony atom based on the polyester, has an average particle diameter by dynamic light scattering of 0.05-3μm, and contains 0.1-5 wt.% organic polymer particles having a≤0.01% probability of the existence of the number of coarse particles whose particle diameter is two or more times the average particle diameter based on the total number of the particles.
