ROCKER ARM MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight rocker arm at a low cost. SOLUTION: A columnar stock which is obtained by cutting to a predetermined length is compressed in the axial direction in a second step of forming a barrel-shaped first intermediate stock 33 with the maximum diameter at an intermediate portion thereof in the axial direction. Next, the first intermediate stock 33 is compressed from both sides in the radial direction of the first intermediate stock 33 between a movable die and a fixed die to form a second intermediate stock 34a having rough shape and dimensions of the rocker arm.
